Extending Levales’ always-available approach to their IT infrastructure
Considering the strict data compliance requirements and the level of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Levales stores, its teams need a robust IT infrastructure that delivers uncompromising security.
So, when its existing on-premise solution started to struggle, the team questioned: how should we leverage the latest business technology to give rapid remote access while ensuring the highest levels of compliance and data security?
The Challenge
Levales’ IT systems were at breaking point. Employees couldn’t work effectively.
Having used the same IT setup for a number of years, Levales’ systems were harming the team’s productivity. Business-critical systems were struggling to operate at sufficient speeds and were inaccessible for short periods.
As such, it was clear Levales needed to replace its underspecified IT system with a scalable solution to help teams work on the move and deliver best-in-class support to their clients.
With nearly three-quarters of the UK’s top 100 law firms affected by cyber attacks, Levales was conscious of the risks it faced. As a result, the firm’s founding partner Drew Pettifer, and his team were keen to ensure appropriate technical controls and protections were built into their new IT infrastructure.
So, Levales turned to us at TMT — a trusted partner for Managed IT with our own in-house Security Operations Centre (SOC) — to address its IT challenges.
The Solution
As Levales’ chosen IT partner, we began with a comprehensive IT Strategy Review.
By gaining first-hand insight into the firm’s IT challenges and assessing the technical competency of its existing infrastructure, TMT designed and developed a new IT environment for Levales, hosted in our hybrid cloud, reducing the time wasted because of infrastructure inefficiencies.
Our in-house SOC team also reviewed existing data to aid Levales‘ security posture during the migration process. This comprehensive data scan prevented any potentially compromised files or applications from going live within the new infrastructure, ensuring a fresh start for the firm.
At the same time, TMT worked to enhance the company’s cyber defenses — introducing new security controls and harnessing the benefits of a hybrid cloud approach to deliver maximum security and uptime.
